The City Heat Motorcycle Club, founded in 1981, is a brotherhood and a fraternal organization, not an association. It is a motorcycle club made up of law enforcement personnel, professionals and tradesmen with a common passion and enthusiasm for motorcycling. We hold monthly general meetings to discuss the goals of the club and plan events which include local and long-distance rides, charity fund raisers, poker runs and social gatherings with other local clubs and associations.

At present there are three chapters of City Heat. The original chapter is located in Chicago, with over fifty members locally, as well as over a dozen “at-large” members around the United States.  The second chapter, located in Minneapolis, MN., was established in June of 1994. Its membership is primarily made up of Minneapolis and St. Paul police officers.  The third chapter is City Heat M/C – Illinois.  This chapter, established in 2009, is made up primarily of law enforcement officers from municipal and county agencies located in DuPage & Kane counties in Illinois.

The chapters get together several times a year for annual weekend picnics, rallies and sporting events between the two cities´ teams.  The City Heat chapters support numerous local and national charities; as well as supporting state and local associations which promote motorcycle awareness, safety and education. Each year, City Heat - Chicago hosts a large fund raising event which benefits the Misericordia Home in Chicago, the Illinois Fire Safety Alliance Burn Camp, Chicago Police Gold Star Families and many other charitable organizations. City Heat – Minneapolis is very involved in the promotion of and participation in the Bi-Annual Flood Runs held from Hudson, WI. to Winona, MN. The FloodRun's mission is raising funds for the benefit of the children at the Gillette Children's Hospital.  City Heat – Illinois’ members have been involved with the - Mooseheart Child City & School  (Dedicated in July 1913 by the Moose fraternal organization)which is a residential childcare facility. The Child City is a home for children and teens in need, from infancy through high school.
